QCUP Live was on the road last week-end for the 3rd and last stop of the spring tour, and this date at Prologin Paris was a very good idea.
It wasn't a regular lan party for us, but it was excellent, even better ! Since the technical and the sponsors set up wasn't possible in Toulouse, we moved our QCUP Live to Paris in the last second. There has been a lot to prepare it, but in a very short time frame anf we are proud to release our usual picture gallery and a short movie clip by the Q|team, we hope you will enjoy this Party online as we did ourselves in Prologin let's go to Prologin now !!

During 3 days the CSS scene was in fusion at Bressuire, and the weather was absolutely fantastic. This year we had the privilege again to stand right in the gaming hall with the Euro-cream of Esports in CSS. Esuba team came by surprise and took the lan, while we had the surprise to crown a new champion in the QCUP Live, the reign of SmithZz has ended anr H2k RPK is the new king of the aim ! Yesterday evening at the popular club Solidaritet in the heart of Stockholm, MTV BRINGITON and LES SEULES had a release party to announce the TV show “PLAY US” starring Les Seules, one of the most famous and successfull female counter strike team in the world. The party offered a sneak preview of the TV show and free drinks and food. Together with Quick, Heaton, and several other gaming profiles we went in joint troup to the party after a short gather at a close by Hotell.

The “PLAY US” party was really nice. It sure was a nice feeling to meet up with old e-sport friends again, especially the girls from Les Seules who QPAD sponsored since the beginning of their careers. Its not that often there is a a chance for gaming related party outside the LAN and e-sport culture. But yesterday nights party was one of the best. Congratulations to Les Seules for finally signing with such a respectable TV channel as MTV. To Robban “Infinity”. You did it ;) Good job.

Birdie is a very nice LAN-event. This was the 18th edition of the event and the second time QPAD participated. We are very happy to be one of the partners to Birdie this year with a fantastic people, good atmosphere and a nice crew. I really love Birdie!

Birdie is an 1000 people old-school LAN-event without extreme number of participants and no prize money for their tournaments. This LAN includes people who love's to meet and play games, socialize, try new things and make shows on the scene.

One done with Arles ! the show was fantastic and we want to thank the audience and the gamers for their great enthousiasm, PxL is certainly a must go, and was a very good start for our QCUP Live tour.

Yesterday QPAD CEO Christer Körnbäck together with QPAD Tom Gustafsson went on the most exciting happening this year in the Swedish gaming industry; the Swedish Game Awards. QPAD was there to represent eSports with sidekicks such as Miguel “Quick” Bonett, Hanif “Husis”, “Greykarn” and “Ponde” from Rakaka.se. With all the Swedish gaming companies, local such as global representatives the prize ceremony had 20 different categories to announce winners in different game titles released during 2007.

The Crossfire comunity has invited us to their Esport party in Enschede, at the far east of the Netherlands. Some of the best European teams were attending this event organised by Crossfire and hosted by WZZRD cyber café. TEk9, Team Dignitas, Fnatic, 4Kings, H2K, Team Logitech, but also Sk-gaming and also oXmoze team were there...

3 years ago, we were for the first time in the West Arena. This year, I "Friteman" had the pleasure to be back in Bretagne @ Guilers (France). The famous land of the druids, legends… and the very good restaurants, do you like the seafood ? After 750 km from my flat in Belgium, I arrived in the city of Guilers where 3500 visitors, as well as 600 gamers PC and wii could compete all the weekend. Atao the CEO of Sylver Arena and his crew have prepared a wonderfull show for the 4 th edition : concert by locals musicians and the contest ‘Tektonik’ ?!! ‘Techtonic’, or ‘Techtonic’.... hmmmm Help me please ! Yeah it’s trendy in France !!!! Watch the video with the Famous Dka ‘Marvin’ (on the left). A good time also to meet some dudes in da place: BaDGui, mpCrafT, Zaxe ... and Stephane the crazy shoutcaster.

Surcouf has organized the largest gaming event in the city of Strasbourg. They celebrated the opening of the "FragZone", a dreamplace for every hardcore gamer can find progaming gear and the largest choice in video games.

Dreamhack Winter 2007. With a new world record again of 10 450 computers connected to the network, dreamhack was huge.

QPAD was there with a big crew! John "Snakez" van Batenburg from Holland, Daniel "DnL" from spain, Tom "nox" Gustafsson, Miranda "SHErminator" Sherman, Johnny "toker" Törnvall. With the new clothing line coming out the president Christer "MrMouse" Körnbäck drove in on saturday with a suit and tie!

A 1v1 tournament, in the form of Qcup was as usual a success, with the winner Linus "tjiffen" Råberg taking home 500 Euros, a brand
new smoking XFX 8800 GTS, a Samsung monitor, Sennheiser PC-350 and QPAD CT and Glidz with a big smile on his face.

This last weekend D3 expo with Kode5 took place in Copenhagen, Denmark. QPAD crew Johnny "toker" Törnvall and Johan "habit" Harlestedt was on location. QPAD together with Sennheiser communications hosted a 1on1 stage with players like AurorA and twaizz challenging the crowd. A famous danish singer performed and afterwards he challenged the crowd to a one on one in the game Need for Speed Carbon on saturday.

The QCUP LIVE from DIGITALSACE at Colmar Multimedia Festival went quite good for us, the crew, your crew, the Qcrew was in the house and ruled the QCUP LIVE as it was promised to the gamers, chance to with a rain of prizes from the main partners INTEL, Sennheiser Com., Surcouf and others. We had the pleasure to crown champion of the single players tournament, the best aimer of QCUP this session mSx from Emulate !

This week end QPAD|Snakez went to Perfect lan in Holland, a real hard core lan with 100 people. Hardcore gaming, networking and a lot of party. A lan party the old school way. He brought some pictures back to us. There was also a big division of dcc-gaming on lan . And they gave a new meaning to the word lanparty. The whole dcc division was doing al kinds of nice things togheter. And playing games was not realy one of them. Check the gallery and find out for yourself ....

QPAD, Sennheiser and EHT went to the Wonderbase LAN in Borås, Sweden this past weekend. Together we put up the coolest booth at the venue were you could compete in our 1vs1 QCUP and King of the Hill!

Congrats to NIP|Face, winner of the 1vs1 QCUP and to Zyppe who took the 2nd place in the 1vs1 QCUP! Many were those who went all the way in our King of the hill and congratz to you guys as well!

Game Conventions 2007 in Leipzig (Germany). I come back from what I experience as the temple of gaming. It is one of the biggest events in the world with 185.000 visitors, 503 exhibitors, 12.300 professional visitors, ... and a 115.000 m² space for the exhibition! I need to buy new shoes!

Fnatic won the 2007 years edition of The eXperience with Roskilde eSport on 2nd place and H2K on the third. mTw impressed in the Fifa tournament with mTw players in top 3! With an exciting event in the best eSport quality, players, partners, sponsors and visitors from all over Europe could enjoy their stay by the bar, player lounge, the restaurant or at the arena balcony to watch the matches.

QPAD would like to thank all the attending teams for the good atmosphere and give a special salute to Roskilde eSport (the organizer) for a high quality event with pro gaming touch!

Last Friday, we were in Paris for the 'Activision Day' in the prestigious reception rooms of The Elysée Biarritz Cine on in Paris. Several newsers of the video games news were invited to report about future games releases from Activision : Tony Hawk' S proving ground, Transformers… and the famous COD4 on a giant screen....

The biggest LAN festival in the world; DreamHack summer edition, attracted 4500 visitors. This year the event had a new management group and that could easily be noticed by all the new activities and the layout of the Fair.

The biggest events were the Final of the ESWC, WGT tournament and of course the fact that the superstars of E-sports, Meet Your Makers would participate in the tournament and also to do exhibitions matches at the Sennheiser/QPAD stand. The match between “Moon” and “Lucifer” had an audience of at least 150 people that came to see the stars battle it out, they played reversed races while Army was shoutcasting the two matches. The result ended in a draw, 1-1, by “Moon” winning the first match and “Lucifer” who was looking for revenge took the second round. Before that they also had a signing hour at Sennheiser and QPAD, and it was announced that QPAD is the new sponsor of Meet your Makers.

Sennheiser and QPAD had really went all out this year by having “vilden” in their stand so everybody could challenge and win prizes. We also held a QCUP that was won by “KPY” and he could enjoy the glory of winning a brand new LCD-TV amongst other things.

The ESWC turned out to be very exciting and decided who will be the two last teams attending the ESWC.swe Finals! Among other teams Begrip, NiP and SK participated making this tournament really exciting. In the end NiP and Begrip battled it out in the final and NiP came out as the winner.
