Sweclockers the most prestigous hardware site in sweden today published an extensive test of 3 headset's in the upper price range. QPAD QH1339 was compared against Sennheiser PC350 and Razer Baracuda HP-1. The test was performed by Johan Althoff who work everyday with sound design and has over ten years of experience in the field of sound. His specialty is sound effects in games with titles like The Darkness and The Chronicles of Riddick in his portfolio.
Here are some quote's from the test
Music test
Music is obviously QPADs / beyerdynamics strength. The sound has very high resolution and is well defined. The balanced mid registry is something you can recognize from the more expensive headphones in beyerdynamic’s range of sound products. The base is not excessive; the treble copes all the way to the upper regions of the sound register.
Film test
Qpads headphones gives striking detail. beyerdynamic and QPAD have done some good work in cooperation. Even in noisy parties QH1339 play focused, and the sound is almost never uncomfortable.
Gaming test
Good sound is always a good sound, regardless of situation. Explosions, gunfire and the frenetic radio come to their right and the experience becomes cinematic. The somewhat subdued lower tone also makes it possible to have the proper volume without damaging your ears.
Voice test
In the marketing QPAD emphasizes that the microphone is "studio-quality" which is an interesting statement. Some quick tests in the recording studio show, however, that this statement’s pretty true when it comes to QH1339. The sound quality is comparable to the hobby microphones in the studio. The microphone has a very broad absorption of the frequency spectrum.
Conclusion
"Qpad and Beyer Dynamics’ headphones are the obvious winner in the pure "WOW" feeling and subjective quality"
"Does QH1339 makes gaming more fun, music more enjoyable and movies to a better experience? The answer is without a doubt yes!"
