QPAD proudly presents Counter-Strike 1.6 movie about the most prestigious event of the year WCG 2009, Directed & Edited by Arsalan SK Khan and Produced by e-Motion. The WorldCyber Games 2009 took place from November 11th To November15th, 2009 In Chengdu, China. The tournament had over 600 participants from around 70 countries taking part. The prize money was around $500,000. This movie highlights the most exciting and amazing frags in the history of WCG 2009, starting from round 16 all the way to the Grand Final.

A new record was set at DreamHack Stockholm on Monday 15th June for the “most kills in Counter-Strike (Valve, 2003) in 12 hours”. The record is 518 and was achieved by Björn ''Threat'' Pers (Sweden) at DreamHack Summer 2009, Jönköping, Sweden. This new record will be shortlisted for inclusion in the next Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition to be published in Spring 2010. The Gamer’s Edition 2009 is already available and can be found in all the good bookstores.
Gaz Deaves, Gaming Records Manager at Guinness World Records, said: “Counter-Strike is one of the most enduringly popular online games, and players like Björn are constantly striving to push themselves to new levels of skill and achievement. With such a strong pro gaming scene in Sweden, I expect to see plenty more Swedish record breakers in next year’s Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition”

Björn "threat" Pers, record holder for the most kills on CounterStrike said: "I wanted to make this record hard to break in the future so, although my first goal was 300 rounds, I finally went for 500 rounds in total. By the end of the attempt I was exhausted and my body was very tired. It was worth it, becoming a part of the Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition is something every gamer dreams about."

The Swedish AIM champion Björn "threat" Pers sets the new record at Dreamhack.
QPAD, the Swedish company famed for its premium gaming gear, today announced the result of the Guinness World Record attempt at Dreamhack the biggest lan party in the world, taking place last weekend between 13-16 of June.
Guinness World record attempt "Gamers edition"
QPAD was on location to set a new Guinness World record in Counter-Strike 1.6 aim map. The rules where simple. You simply had get the most rounds during 12 hours of game play. First to 10 rounds stayed and met the next challenger in a classic King Of The hill format.
Björn "threat" Pers who is a well known player on aim maps, he won QTOUR 1on1 Championship in 2008 and came second in 2007. Björn had a fantastic weekend Coming 1st in both the Guinness world records attempt and beating SK-Gaming in the main 5on5 tournament final with his team Lemondogs.
Björn started up playing at 17:15 with his first match against zEn from Team Alchemist who had the result of 40 rounds when Björn entered the record attempt. Björn won with 10-6 and never left the King of the hill position until the time ended at 22:00. When the countdown forced him to quit he had reached an incredible result of 528 rounds with a 4:45 hour playtime. The closest runner up was Axel "vattenskall3n" Gustafson who ended up with 207 rounds and in third place Robin "wertsson" Arvidsson came with 168 rounds.
Except the prestige and honour Björn also won Samsung 2333SW, monitor Logitech Z Cinema sound system, QPAD HeatoN Gaming mouse pad and a QPAD QH-1339 Premium headset.

HeatoN launches his first gaming product!
QPAD, the Swedish company famed for its premium gaming gear, today announced the launch of HeatoN’s first gaming product. "The perfect mouse pad". The product was released during Dreamhack last weekend.

The product release took place at Dreamhack in front of an exited crowd waiting to get a glimpse of their biggest idol and the new product. After a short interview the product was introduced followed up by autograph signing and a chance for the crowd to try out the product on stage. Emil also picked one from the crowed that got his own signed "HeatoN mouse pad. To top it of everybody in the big hall at Dreamhack (5000 people) joined in to sing happy birthday to Emil on his 25th birthday.
"I have always wanted a hard top pad with the perfect glide and big enough so I would never have to drag the mouse outside the edges in an important game. That was the two most important things when making my very own HeatoN pad. With the best glide ever on a hard top together with the durability so the glide won't change every week. I would have to say that we have developed the perfect plastic pad that will never interfere with your game and make sure you are always on the top of your game." Says Emil "HeatoN" Christensen
The biggest hard top gaming mouse pad in the world
The pad itself has a dimension of incredible 43.5x36.5x0.35cm (17.12x14.37inch) which makes it almost impossible to slide of the edge. Previously you have only found such large pads made out of traditional cloth, but are now also available for all hard top fans out there. The surface is constructed in a 3 layer construction. Starting with a high quality cross weave rubber to make it stable on the table. The second layer is an abs plastic sheet to give it stability and weight. The third layer is made from an extremely durable carbytek plastic that offers a very good glide in combination with unique micro precision. The combination of a spongy 2mm rubber base with an abs board in between and the hard top surface gives it a new feeling never felt before. The weight of almost a half kilogram makes it very stable and firm on the table.

Michael "mikkis" Sokki earned victory at The Gathering’s QTOUR (Norway), another team had become the flavour of the Easter week end down there in Troyes (France) at the UTT arena.
